What you as a buyer should do at this point is to check if the car, truck or motorcycle you are buying has been registered as stolen.
There is a way for you to check if the vehicle you are trying to buy has been reported stolen. Canadian Police Information Centre has a web site where simply by inputting your VIN number you can search their database.
Their web site will tell you if you are clear to buy the vehicle. Should the receive positive result, please contact your local police and inform them that you are purchasing this vehicle from such person.
